I think as educators, we do need to guide children in figuring out who they are. We also need to push them to their highest ability and teaching them how to push themselves. We need to build their self esteem so once we (educators) get them to reach their fullest potential, they'll have the confidence to push themselves to success once they leave our classrooms.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Brianna. We need to help children get to their highest potential. I liked your quote about improving the child's performance by teaching them not testing. I feel like testing the children doesn't help them, I believe if you teach them and guide them they will be able to grasp the knowledge and remember certain concepts.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you both that Children need to be helped to their fullest potential. We have no idea what their home life is like but as long as they have someone in their life that will encourage them to try their best it may be the greatest thing in their life. And make that big difference.
